I am currently a Lead Designer at Minimal Inc, in Chicago, where I have recently focused on consumer electronics projects, the visual presentation of the company, and the continual expansion and refinement of our internal 3D design and visualization processes. Beyond solving problems and balancing appeal, cost, resources, and capabilities, I believe design is best utilized to create connections with users. As people become more educated about the products and services they buy, I am increasingly convinced that value matters more than price, usefulness matters more than feature lists, and brand awareness is very clearly alive. I enjoy projects that require unique points of view about how brands can stand out and connect with people. At Minimal and in my past positions with Lunar, Ignition, and Uniden, I have completed work for Microsoft, XBox, Dell, Oral-B, HP, Texas Instruments, Monster Cable, Alcatel, and Nextlink. My highest profile projects released to date include the 2010 XBOX 360 console, the Microsoft LifeCam Cinema HD webcam, the super-small G5 Bluetooth headset for INVISIO, and my own instructional 3D rendering DVD with The Gnomon Workshop. However, with a number of projects in development and pending release, I am most excited about what's yet to come. |
